This policy explains what information eAuctionsNews ("we") collects when you use eauctionsnews.com, and how we use it.

Information you give us

You can use the site without an account. If you create one, we store:

your email address and, optionally, your name
a securely hashed version of your password (never the password itself)
your language choice
the auctions and searches you save

We use this only to run your account and, if you turn alerts on, to email you new auctions matching your saved searches. Every alert email says how to switch alerts off. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We count failed login attempts per IP address for a short time to block password guessing. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for privacy-friendly visit counts; it doesn't use cookies.

Cookies

We set a few first-party cookies, which are needed for the site to work:

a login session cookie, if you sign in
your chosen language and light/dark theme
a short-lived message cookie after some actions

We don't use these cookies for advertising.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings.
You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Listing data

Auction listings, including names of borrowers and addresses, come from public sale notices that banks publish under law. We show them as published and link to the original notice. To correct or remove a listing, see the Contact page.

Sharing

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that run the site:

Cloudflare, for hosting and the database
our email provider, for alert emails

We would also share it where the law requires.

Retention and your rights

Account data is kept until you delete your account or ask us to. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data. Write to 1990rishi@gmail.com.

Children

The site is meant for adults taking part in property auctions. It isn't directed at children.

If we change this policy we'll update the date above.
